My name is Jimmée Greco, and in addition to my proud role as an educator, I maintain an active orchestral freelancing career. I have performed with the Sacramento Philharmonic, the Carmel Bach Festival, the Peninsula Symphony, the Palo Alto Philharmonic, and the
chamber group Master Symphonia, in addition to numerous other groups.
I graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles, as a clarinet performance major. I have studied with David Breeden (former principal, San Francisco Symphony); Gary Gray (former principal, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and Grammy nominee); Ginger Kroft (principal, Sacramento Philharmonic); and Jerome Simas (principal bass clarinetist, San Francisco Symphony).
Music is more than simply notes on a page. Music is a living language that speaks to people's hearts. I help students learn to "speak" music, so they can communicate their ideas, their creativity, their unique voice. I believe everyone has a song to sing. I help people find their song and sing it through the clarinet.
I teach orchestral and band clarinet and bass clarinet. Quality musicians are created in the intersection between discipline and creativity, so my lessons focus on fundamentals as the roots so your musical creativity can fly.
